USD/CHF rallies to fresh session highs, eyes 0.9100

FXStreet (Mumbai) - USD/CHF jumped to fresh session highs in the early European morning as the USD bulls jumped back into the bids after a brief retreat seen in the previous session.

Heads towards 0.9100

Currently, the USD/CHF traded 0.63% higher at fresh session highs at 0.9092 levels, heading towards 0.9100 levels. The pair continues to remain underpinned on Swiss National Bank Vice President Danthine’s comments yesterday that the bank may intervene in the market to prevent the franc from appreciating. Moreover, a strengthening US dollar across the board ahead of US Fed monetary policy decision also added to gains in the pair.

The US dollar index, which measures the relative strength of the greenback against a basket of six major currencies, rallied to fresh session highs and now trades at 94.49, up 0.24% on the day.

USD/CHF Technical Levels

To the upside, the next resistance is located at 0.9100 levels and above which it could extend gains to 0.9165 levels. To the downside, immediate support might be located at 0.8936 levels and below that at 0.8900 levels.
