Omani Govt official: We will not block the extension of OPEC production cuts

Oilprice.com reports comments from Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, undersecretary at the Omani Ministry of Oil and Gas, as cited by Times of Oman late-Monday.

The senior government official noted, “We support any initiative that will lift oil prices. If that means extending the current agreement beyond the first six months, we will not block it.”

“However, we need to know the details – how long it is going to continue, “ he quickly added.

Oman is part of the group of 11 non-OPEC producers, Russia, which had agreed to act jointly with the cartel to cut oil supply
