Mexico's Pana-Nieto torpedoes US NAFTA claims
Mexico's President Pana-Nieto stated that Mexico has not agreed to any specific trade quotas with the US in bilateral talks, sinking recent claims by the United States administration that trilateral talks between the three countries have been successfully averted. What exactly the US and Mexico agreed to recently remains a mystery, but Pana-Nieto made a point of specifically outlining three critical statements.
Pana-Nieto has affirmed Mexico's plan to engage in continued trilateral talks between the US and Canada, that a successful trade deal will greatly reduce uncertainty when one is finally reached, and that it is incredibly important that Canada remains in NAFTA.
