Wall Street closes off lows but mixed

FXStreet (San Francisco) - US stocks finished mixed on Monday as major indexes recovered from early losses. Market is focused on Wednesday's FOMC meeting.

The Dow Jones advanced 22.02 points or 0.13% to finish at 16,982.59; the S&P 500 added 0.57 pts or 0.03% to close at 1,978.91; on the other hand, the Nasdaq Composite lost 4.65 points or 0.10% to end the day at 4,444.91.
